The Michael Shinagel Scholarship Fund

In honor of Michael Shinagel, Dean of Harvard Extension School from 1975-2013, this fund has assisted 157 students in earning their ALB/ALM degree at Harvard Extension School, with a total of $235,642 awarded from the fund to date.

Financial aid for students

Your gift to the Michael Shinagel Fund helps us to provide grants—which cover up to half of tuition costs—to all qualified students.

Make a gift

Outright gifts

Some alumni choose to give through outright gifts of cash, stocks and bonds, mutual funds, and wire transfers. Most gifts allow you to claim a federal income tax charitable deduction if you itemize your return.

Planned gifts

You can also give through life income gifts and bequests, including pooled income funds, gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts. Both a life income gift and a bequest are a powerful way to express your faith in our future.

Many companies offer programs that match donations made by their employees, directors, employees’ spouses, or retirees. Please use the Employer Matching Gift Search to find out if your company qualifies.
