Carlos is a seasoned Sustainable Finance and ESG professional with over 18 years of experience in the field, including experience in sustainable finance, renewable energy, financial analysis, business planning, development economics, and real estate finance. He also is a professor of Finance at EGADE Business School and Instructor of Sustainable Finance and Environmental Economics at Harvard University. He is the former CFO for New Evolution Ventures Mexico, and former COO for Vertex Energy. He earned his Ph.D. in Sustainable Finance from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, an MBA from IPADE Business School in Mexico, and an ALM in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard Extension School.
