Harvard Extension School Alumni Weekend 2020
Harvard University has made the difficult decision to postpone all of the upcoming on-campus Commencement activities. For the health, safety, and well-being of our community, we unfortunately must cancel HES Alumni Weekend planned for May 22-24, 2020.
A favorite event during Alumni Weekend is the Saturday Symposium which we will be hosting virtually on June 20th.
Save the date for HES Alumni Weekend 2021 planned for May 21-23!
Submit your Saturday Symposium Proposals
Are you working on something that is cutting edge, high impact and/or changing the face of communities around the country or the world? Many Harvard Extension School alumni and graduate certificate holders like yourself are doing amazing things and we want to hear about it to foster conversation and enable solutions. Think big impact ideas or programs, not self-promotion or product placement.
The Saturday Symposium will take place virtually on June 20th!
The Symposium is a platform for you to present your project - whether it's part of your professional or personal life. Each ten-minute talk will be followed by time for Q&A. There will also be “coffee” breaks and ample time for less structured discussions.
Projects that have yielded results are strongly preferred. Past presentations include: "Data-driven community development" by Nicolas Tejera (2017), “The Future of News and Information” by Michael Fabiano (2018) and “Innovative Technologies and Environmental Awareness as Solutions for Marine Debris Mitigation” by Denise Sarchiapone (2018.)
Submit by Sunday May 17, 2020.
Come back to campus to discover, learn, and connect with the alumni and faculty that made your time at Harvard so memorable. Class of 2020 graduates welcome!
Highlights from Alumni Weekend 2019 include the favorite Saturday Symposium, Reception with the Dean at the new Smith Campus Center and Sunset Cruise of Boston Harbor! You even have the option to stay on campus in historic Harvard Yard!
