Leveraging Linkedin: Targeted Profile Development

You’re on LinkedIn, you have a profile—including an “About” summary—and now you're ready to take it to the next level! Join us for this advanced session where you will be guided through the process of building a stronger, more robust, and more targeted profile. You will learn how to update and enhance your existing About section, add more skills and personality, plus add links, documents and posts into the Featured section to show samples of your work. Our topics will also include making career transitions to a new industry and dealing with gaps in employment.

Part 2: Linkedin Peer Profile Critiques

After attending the Linkedin profile development webinar on October 29th, we invite you to join us for a short peer critique session on November 12th. You will be given a handout to help guide you in these critiques. Be ready, and willing, to do some active listening.

Your role will be to listen to the goals of your fellow HES community members, then review their profile and provide suggestions and edits. You don’t have to be an expert writer or editor to provide assistance. Each group will have 2 to 3 people in a breakout room for 30 minutes. Afterwards you’ll have another, optional, 30 mins where we’ll place you in a larger group for open, unstructured networking.
