I’m interested in serving another term on the Board of Director because there is more work to do. If reelected, and given the opportunity, I’d like to continue to do my part in growing the great successes the HEAA Board has achieved the past two years.
As a current board member in my first term, I’ve been fortunate enough to work across three dedicated committees. My areas of focus have been with career support, planning for alumni awards, and currently as chair for Lifelong Learning and Career development. Each committee in some shape or form is focused on bringing the HEAA alumni community closer together. I’ve strived to do my part to provide opportunities and tools to expand our alumni committee and advance alumni needs.
I’ve always been driven to inspire learning. As a current Chair, for me that means creating a learning environment that ignites curiosity, fosters engagement, and motivates our HEAA alumni and community to seek knowledge and understanding, leading to a deeper and more meaningful experience.
Over the past two years, I’ve been most excited to help the Board continue to build momentum around and created a wealth of opportunities in these areas…and there is still more great programs to come.
Creating a Supportive Environment: create learning environments both virtual and in-person that encourage collaboration and open communication.
Lifelong Learning: foster and cultivate a love of learning that extends beyond our shared education and encourages individuals to continue seek knowledge and growth throughout their lives.
Igniting Curiosity and Engagement: a consistent and easy-to-access opportunity to learn, explore, and advance.
If reelected, I’d like to continue to develop programs that better gauge alumni learning journeys, life stages and their level of interest engaging with and volunteering for the HES community.
