I am interested in returning to the HEAA Board of Directors because I believe Harvard Extension School alumni must keep claiming our place in this University with confidence, pride, and a clear sense of purpose.

Many of us know that Harvard does not always acknowledge Extension School alumni with the same visibility or affirmation others may receive. And yet, when the University wants to highlight stories of resilience, innovation, and success, it is often our community it points to. That reality tells us something important: we cannot wait for others to define our value for us. We have to claim our place ourselves. We earned it through hard work, sacrifice, and persistence, and we have every right to lead with pride in the institution we helped strengthen.

As an alum, I take great pride in the School’s legacy as a pioneer in remote and flexible education. The Extension School has long shown that excellence is not confined to one path, one age, or one set of circumstances. I want to help HEAA continue honoring that legacy by amplifying the voices of alumni around the world and ensuring our community remains connected, represented, and valued.

I am running because I believe this is a moment to lead boldly. HEAA can help build an alumni community that is visible, organized, and ready to shape Harvard’s future rather than simply ask to be included in it. I would be honored to continue that work in service to our alumni and to the next generation of Extension School graduates.
