As a Harvard Extension School alumnus with two degrees, I value the School’s mission of accessible, transformative education. My experience in the Joint Degree program strengthened my appreciation for the Extension School’s role in expanding opportunity within the Harvard community and inspires my desire to give back through alumni service.

Having served on nonprofit and corporate boards since 1995 — including current directorship roles with a publicly traded ETF, a Canadian aerospace company, and a nonprofit endowment dedicated to university student leadership — I bring decades of experience in governance, strategic planning, and financial stewardship. These roles have required building consensus, guiding long-term strategy, and ensuring organizations remain aligned with their mission while sustaining financial strength.

One of my primary motivations in serving on the HEAA Board is to help strengthen alumni engagement and philanthropy within the Extension community. Extension alumni often achieve significant professional success through determination and innovation. By encouraging alumni participation — through mentorship, community building, and charitable giving — we can help expand scholarships, programs, and opportunities for future students.

I hope to serve the HEAA community by strengthening alumni engagement, encouraging philanthropic participation, and supporting the continued success of Harvard Extension School.
