Areen Shahbari

A seasoned strategist, entrepreneur, and business consultant, Shahbari boasts an extensive 17-year background. Her expertise spans corporate leadership, innovation, strategy, and operations. With management roles in established companies and two self-founded ventures, she has guided hundreds of startups and firms worldwide since 2011, focusing on human-centricity, value creation, entrepreneurship, business growth, strategy, innovation, leadership, and the synergy between business and psychology.

Shahbari coaches entrepreneurs, executives, and leaders, elevating their knowledge and skills in innovation, strategy, and leadership. She teaches at Harvard and Stanford Universities and has designed and led over 200 business courses, workshops, and training programs across nine countries in the last decade.

In 2013, she founded Cactus International, a company dedicated to promoting women’s entrepreneurship, enabling numerous women from the MENA regions to start and grow their businesses. Prior to her consulting and entrepreneurial career, Shahbari held various roles in the media industry, including head of a programming department, TV producer, journalist, and TV host for six TV shows.

Shahbari holds an MBA from Simmons University School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communication. She is a Fulbright Alumna and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Additionally, she is an award-winning entrepreneur and business instructor.
