Governance Director (2-year term)

The Governance Director provides the board and Leadership Committee guidance on the proper format for running board meetings and resolves issues dealing with governing conflicts through the application of Robert’s Rules of Order. They are responsible for overall effectiveness of the board, and to that end, will work with the Office of Advancement to ensure there is a strong pool of director candidates for future consideration. The Governance Director works with the President on business matters, to ensure that they comply with both the HEAA’s Constitution and Bylaws, and that different committees are apprised of any governing issues. This person should have the ability to draft, edit and help publish any updates or rewriting of the Constitution or Bylaws. An ideal candidate has prior board experience, a basic understanding of leadership and management and/or has graduated at least 5 years ago.
