Since my time at Harvard Extension School, and especially after my 2018 graduation, I’ve wanted to connect to our global community. As an HEAA director, I want to share my 25 years of experience in communications to build and strengthen our HEAA networks. I thrive in strategic conversations and bring energy to establishing systems and pathways for connection.

For more than three years, I’ve served as co-chair, then chair, of the HEAA Texas Chapter. I enjoy working with the Office of Advancement staff and have experience with the challenges of a large, geographically diverse alumni network. Moreover, I believe collaboration with other chapter leaders is vitally important.

I’m interested in continuing to serve the HEAA by offering my chapter leadership experience and finding ways to connect, support, and celebrate our alumni.

I also bring to the table more than a decade of higher education experience in student affairs. I think there are parallels to HEAA and the student communities I helped build and develop at Austin Community College. During my time there, I was part of the leadership team who built first-year student learning communities and co-curricular cohorts. We used data-driven decision making to further our goal of increasing student success among first-year students. We were guided by student affairs theories for connection and belonging.

I think these are exciting times for HEAA!

I earned my Master of Liberal Arts Degree from Harvard Extension School in 2018, completing the Information Technology/Digital Media Design work and earning the Dean’s List Academic Achievement Award.

As a proud HES alumnae, I’d be honored to lead and support the vision of deepening relationships with HEAA and within the One Harvard family.

Thank you.
