Secretary (2-year term)

The Secretary works directly with the Office of Advancement staff to document and maintain a permanent record of the Association’s meetings, such as meeting notes and various activities. The Secretary works with the President and staff to create and distribute meeting agendas, ensuring meeting minutes are recorded and distributed to the board. They will serve on the Leadership Committee, track progress on board initiatives and board membership, and determine if and when a quorum has been reached in meetings. The person in this role must have a good understanding of the HEAA Constitution and Bylaws. An ideal candidate has prior board experience, a basic ability to capture and document live complex conversations and/or has graduated at least 5 years ago.
