What draws me to serve on the Harvard Extension Alumni Association Board of Directors is the opportunity to strengthen the alumni community of a school that has had a meaningful impact on my life. Harvard Extension School represents access, intellectual growth, and the idea that learning should remain open across every stage of life. As a graduate of the Extension School, I value the way it brings together students and alumni from varied professional, academic, and personal backgrounds, and I would welcome the chance to help deepen those connections.

I am especially interested in helping HEAA create engagement opportunities that keep alumni connected not only to Harvard, but also to one another. Many Extension alumni balance demanding careers, family responsibilities, and continued professional development, so it is important to cultivate programming that is relevant, accessible, and community-oriented. I believe HEAA plays a unique role in sustaining that sense of belonging after graduation.

I am also drawn to the Board’s emphasis on lifelong learning. The opportunity to support initiatives related to career development, alumni programming, and global engagement is especially appealing because those efforts can provide lasting value to graduates at many different points in their lives and careers. I would be honored to contribute to an organization that encourages continued intellectual curiosity, service, and alumni involvement.

Ultimately, I see Board service as a meaningful way to give back to Harvard Extension School by helping foster a stronger, more connected, and more engaged alumni network for current and future graduates.
